My parents told me not to paint or do “art stuff” as they felt I had no talent. I never really dared to paint or draw until I was 26 and lived far away. I started playing the guitar when I turned 40. I’ve written poetry (secretly) since I’m in my thirties, but never told anyone about it. That sucks.

Don’t listen to ANYONE telling you, you can’t do art. It’s one of your most basic human rights. It feels great to get into the FLOW of creating something with your hands. Something that doesn’t have to “serve a purpose”. Just because you feel like it.

You are an artist. You have your personal, unique way of expressing things. You don’t have to “study” in an art class. All you have to study is YOURSELF.

Don’t be discouraged as I was.
Don’t wait your life away.

Start RIGHT NOW.
HAVE FUN!
